They're off!
Just a matter of
18 miles, 8 checkpoints and
4,900 feet of climb to
negotiate now!
Eventual winner Alasdair
Anthony (100) from Ochil and second placed Jethro Lennox (154) from Shettleston
approaching the Glenrath water stop.
Lucy Colquhoun won the Ladies Prize again this year - here she is passing
through Glenrath.
The 2008 'soup dragons' did an excellent job in the kitchen again -
they practice their smiles all year round...!
Here's the oldest competitor in the race, 69 year old George
Armstrong
receiving a prize from Bill Sheridan.
Many thanks to all those that took part - the runners,
the team of around 50 people who marshal, cook and organise,
and of course the lads and lasses from the Moffat Mountain Rescue Team.
We look forward to seeing you next year.
