What a glorious setting - the runners get their final instructions in front of Traquair House

And they're off!

Just a matter of 18 miles, 8 checkpoints and 4,900 feet of climb to negotiate now!

Colin Donnelly (Lochaber AC) was a clear winner by almost 10 minutes from the second placed runner.

Here he is collecting the Two Breweries Trophy from race organiser, Bill Sheridan.

And here's the winning Lady, Lucy Colquhoun (Carnethy HR) who was a

clear 10 minutes of the second placed Lady.

The 2007 'soup dragons' did an excellent job in the kitchen again -

they practice their smiles all year round...!

Many thanks to all those that took part - the runners,

the team of around 50 people who marshal, cook and organise,

and the lads and lasses from the Moffat Mountain Rescue Team.
